The Kenya Association for Public Administration and Management (KAPAM) announced changes in its leadership on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, marking a new chapter in the Association's efforts to enhance public administration and governance in Kenya.
The incoming Chair of the Association, Mr. Amos Gathecha, the Principal Secretary, State Department of Public Service, takes over from Prof. Margaret Kobia, former Cabinet Secretary in the same Ministry.
The Interim Executive Secretary, Prof. Nura Mohamed, Director General of the Kenya School of Government (KSG), takes over from Prof. Ludeki Chweya, former DG of KSG.

During the Handover Ceremony, the outgoing Executive Committee handed over KAPAM instruments of authority including Minute Records, Reports, Policy Documents, the Official Stamp, and training/membership certificates.
The incoming Executive Committee is committed to growing the Association and to the professionalization of Kenya's public service in line with AAPAM's mandate.
